What does Copilot Memory do?
Why D is the answer
It remembers facts about repositories and your coding preferences
Copilot Memory helps Copilot improve over time, in the way a developer learns a codebase.
In detail
- Copilot Memory remembers facts about repositories and your coding preferences.
- Memory can go stale, so review what it has stored.
Use case
An illustrative scenario, not a real incident.

- It has nothing to do with RAM.
- B. It keeps a permanent copy of each file that you have ever excluded
- It does not keep copies of excluded files.
- C. It stores the whole of your source code outside of GitHub for backup
- It is not a backup of your source code.
